The link some of you found has been changed, as your "classmates" have volunteered to refine that master list.
My preference is for you to assemble an overview of 8-12 trees that are relevant to you or your watershed, similar to the invasives assignment. The product you develop could be a slide presentation, animation, video, wiki, brochure or web site. Whatever suits you.
